As part of the Government of Canada’s Red Tape Reduction Action Plan, departments and agencies that sponsor or administer regulations that contain regulatory burden are required to post an Administrative Burden Baseline count. This count represents a summation of each element of regulatory burden contained in applicable regulations. OSFI administers the regulations under the:
- Bank Act
- Trust and Loan Companies Act
- Cooperative Credit Associations Act
- Insurance Companies Act
- Pension Benefits Standards Act
- Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions Act
The Department of Finance sponsors these Acts and the regulations made thereunder. To obtain the Administrative Burden Baseline count for OSFI administered regulations, please refer to the Administrative Burden Baseline page (accessible through the Acts and Regulations page) located on the Department of Finance website.
