Winding-up order granted for the Canadian branch of Maple Bank GmbH

Earlier today, the Ontario Superior Court of Justice granted a winding-up order in respect of the Canadian branch of Maple Bank GmbH (Maple Bank) and appointed KPMG the liquidator of the branch.

These actions follow the February 15 request by the Superintendent of Financial Institutions to the Attorney General of Canada to apply for a winding-up order under section 10.1 of the Winding-up and Restructuring Act.
