Specifically, OSFI: Leverages common-use procurement instruments (i.e., standing offers and supply arrangements) that take environmental considerations into account wherever available and feasible. Includes support and contribution toward green procurement in the performance evaluations of managers and functional heads of procurement and materiel.

Target: 95% of copy paper and envelope purchases will contain a minimum of 30% recycled content and be certified to a recognized environmental standard to reduce the environmental impact of production by March 31, 2021. Performance Indicator: Dollar value of copy paper and envelope purchases that meet the target objective relative to the total dollar value of all purchases for copy paper and envelopes for the given year. Target: 90% of information technology (IT) hardware at end of life will be recycled or disposed of in a manner which reduces the environmental impact by March 31, 2021.
