Advancing Proportionality: OSFI releases discussion paper on capital and liquidity requirements for smaller deposit-taking institutions

OSFI has released a discussion paper on its initiative to advance proportionality in the capital and liquidity regime for small and medium-sized deposit-taking institutions, collectively referred to as SMSBs. The discussion paper seeks input on possible changes to capital and liquidity requirements for SMSBs, and outlines OSFI's initiative to develop more tailored requirements that take into account their unique nature.

Comments on the discussion paper are requested by September 27, 2019.
