Public consultations on Draft Guidance for Reinsurance Security Agreements concluded on October 1, 2010. At this time, OSFI wishes to communicate its intention to:
- post on its website the final version of Guidance for Reinsurance Security Agreements by December 31, 2010; and,
- implement Guidance for Reinsurance Security Agreements effective July 1, 2011.
We trust that these clarifications will help guide federally regulated insurers during both current and future reinsurance renewal cycles.
