This session, presented by OSFI and the Canadian Centre for Cyber Security (CCCS), is intended to provide an overview of Frontier AI threats and how institutions can prepare for them. Final Capital and Liquidity Treatment for Crypto-asset Exposures (Banking) Guideline (2027)
OSFI will discuss the key changes to the final Capital and Liquidity Treatment of Crypto-asset Exposures (Banking) Guideline (2027), which includes targeted changes made in response to stakeholder feedback to better align the capital treatment of certain crypto-asset activities with their underlying risks while maintaining appropriate prudential safeguards.

Guideline E-15 – Appointed Actuary: Legal Requirements, Qualifications and Peer Review
This session will elaborate on OSFI’s expectations regarding peer review in 2026. This is further to our September 2025 announcement that the appointed actuary peer review requirements spelled out in Guideline E-15: Appointed Actuary: Legal Requirements, Qualifications and Peer Review would end January 1, 2027.

Final Capital Adequacy Requirements (CAR) Guideline 2027
This session will provide an overview of key changes to the final Capital Adequacy Requirements (CAR) Guideline 2027. OSFI will explain how these changes are expected to better align capital requirements with the underlying risk, reduce unnecessary capital burden and support increased lending to smaller corporates and answer industry questions.

Data Collection Modernization Update
